Our language can't be without order. If it was, we wouldn't know who was doing what or what action caused something to happen. As speakers and writers we need to carefully order our words, adding elements like prepositions and conjunctions to make our sentences meaningful. When that happens, two different people can find out what they have in common, a teacher can instruct her class on how to use commas, a senator can give an empowering speech, and a father can teach his son how to read.

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”
-Henry David Thoreau
